Starting 25th to 31st of August 2011, all MMO fans can PLAY RIFT for FREE as it celebrates its Half-Birthday Week, celebrating its sixth month anniversary.
All are entitled to play for free either you’re a new players (Rift Account Creation Page – for those who haven’t registered yet and to download Rift full client here.), returning subscribers, or current/former trial players.
Aside from Rift Free to Play, what to expect more with this event?
- Free access to RIFT, with access to all levels, zones, dungeons, PvP Warfronts, and more
- Access to any characters from a previous subscription or trial account
Unlike the RIFT free trial program that limits access to specific zones and imposes a level cap, this week of free play should open up every aspect of the game, from Warfronts to end-game Hammerknell raiding (assuming you level fast enough).
3. All players participating in the free play week will be eligible for prizes under three major contests:
- Over-Achiever* Contest – The character awarded the most achievements between August 25-31 will win.
- Celebration Screenshot* Contest – Submit a screenshot of your character celebrating RIFT’s half-birthday in the least appropriate spot (or fashion) for a party in Telara. He or she who parties the heartiest wins the prize!
- RIFT Half-Birthday Cake* Contest –Bake RIFT a half-birthday cake and submit a photo. May the best cake (or half-cake) win.
Prizes at stake:
- Grand Prize Winner: HP PC (i7 3.2 GHz Quad-Core, Nvidia GTX580, 9GB RAM, 160GB SSD, and 1TB HDD!*) and a six months RIFT Game Time.
- Two Runners-up : GeForce GTX460 Nvidia® graphics cards and a six months RIFT Game Time.
